God desires a personal relationship with each of us. He created us in his image, but because of our sin, we became alienated from Him. God is a loving Father, and revealed His plan to reconcile us to Himself. His plans culmination was when His only Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross as a sacrifice in our place. As in any relationship, a relationship with God requires time and attention to develop. A sincere relationship with God will grow throughout a lifetime of prayer, studying, worship and fellowship.
